The Premiere Performance of the new “Poncan Saturday Night!” - SHOW POSTER
Saturday, May 18 - Showtime is 7:30P.M.
The Poncan announces a new Saturday night family music performance “Poncan
Saturday Night!” The event is Saturday May 18, at 7:30pm. And due to the
generosity of the Sullivan family, admission is FREE!!!! With the talent of the
Bucky Fowler Band and special guest Haylie Walter, the joint is sure to be
jumping. The Theme for the show is: Honoring the Late George Jones.
Haylie graced her very first stage at the young age of only seven years old and
has opened for such stars as the Bellamy Brothers, Gene Watson, David Frizzell,
Jean Shepard, Leona Williams, Leroy Van Dyke, Jeannie Kendall, Johnny Bush, Leon
Rausch and the Texas Playboys, T.G. Sheppard, and The Hager Twins. In addition
to singing and performing worldwide, songwriting is also very close to Haylie's
heart. She is currently writing and co-writing new tunes and working on a new
album which will include two of her own compilations. She's a ball of fire on
and off the stage and will keep you entertained.
So mark the calendar for Saturday May 18 for “Poncan Saturday Night!” Enjoy
an evening with friends and family at the Poncan for FREE.

Prairie Fire Plans Poncan Theatre Performance
Saturday, May 25th at 7:00 P.M.Local bluegrass group, Prairie Fire, will be performing at the Poncan Theatre on Saturday, May 25th at 7:00 P.M., following performances, May 17th and 18th, at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri.
Theatre doors will open at 6:00 P.M. Concert attendees can name their own price for tickets, which are available at The Prairie Rose, Brace Books & More, The Ponca City Chamber of Commerce, The Poncan Theatre Ticket Office, and Eastman National Bank. Any remaining tickets will be available at the Theatre on the night of the concert.
Prairie Fire currently consists of six active members and specializes in various musical genres, including bluegrass, folk, Gospel, celtic, and swing.
Band members include Amy Ballinger (mandolin, cajon, vocals), Ashley Ballinger (guitar, mandolin, vocals), Abby Ballinger (bass, vocals), Hannah Ballinger (fiddle, vocals), Luke Ballinger (guitar, vocals), and Josiah Colle (fiddle, percussion, guitar, vocals).
The band began forming in the fall of 2007 under the coaching of Dave Hart and publicly debuted with The Poncan Opry in the spring of 2010.
In 2011, Prairie Fire produced its first CD through the services of Joe Hollick and Ethereal Studios. That same year, the group performed as the youngest paid band at the 40th Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, KS.
In 2012, Prairie Fire placed third out of nineteen bands in Silver Dollar City’s KSMU Youth in Bluegrass Band Contest, winning prize money and 2013 performance opportunities at Silver Dollar City.
The band has additionally performed at various venues in Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, and Texas, including Stagecoach BBQ in Newkirk and the Ponca City Christian Academy.

You may purchase tickets four ways:
- Order Online: You may now purchase tickets online using our secure site
by CLICKING HERE
after purchase, tickets can be picked up during normal office hours at the
theatre office, OR on the night of the performance (enter the main theatre
entrance and pick up tickets at the "will call" table.)
- At Theatre Office: Our theatre office is located at 104 E. Grand Ave,
Ponca City, OK. Tickets may be purchased Monday through Friday from 1:00 pm
to 5:00 pm. (the office is located to the east of the main theatre
entrance.)
- By Phone: Call 580-765-0943. Office hours are 1:00 to 5:00 pm Monday
through Friday.
- Night of Performance: Tickets may be purchased one hour before each performance at the theatre office, east side of main entrance.
