The Poncan Theatre has entertained and enthralled audiences for over eighty years. She was designed by the preeminent theatre designers, the Boller Brothers and is an excellent example of their Spanish Colonial Revival style. The Poncan Theatre has been restored to represent her original 1927 look, but modernized for today’s use. She has played host to sellout musical reviews, standing room only shows as well as events sponsored by the Ponca City Arts and Humanities Council and the Ponca City Concert Series. The Poncan Theatre is the proud host to her signature events, the Evans Children’s Performing Arts Academy, the Poncan Theatrical Season and the Poncan Opry.

THE PONCAN OPRY RETURNS TO THE STAGE - FEBRUARY 4TH AT 7:30 P.M.
The Poncan Opry Band returns to the stage for the December 2011 make-up show and concludes the 2011 season.

The Poncan Opry Band will again be led by Bucky Fowler, lead guitar and vocals. Kurt Graber on steel guitar. Rob Loren on fiddle. Bill Brown on bass guitar. Chuck Case on drums. Also returning are the lovely ladies on vocals! Kathy Brown, Karla Fowler, and the Fowler Sisters; Kristine Saner, Kelcy Mohr and Kandace Sovereign.

"We are excited about some changes that we have planned for the shows in 2012", says Bucky Fowler, an original member of the Poncan Opry Band. "We are broadening the format to include a wider variety of music for all audiences to enjoy". Along with traditional Classic Country, there will also be Today's Country, Classic Rock 'n Roll, Rhythm 'n Blues, Bluegrass and Gospel.
